Behind the Name
Where did "june sunrise" come from?
Funny enough, a lot of people think my name is June! I get it - many photographers name their business after themselves. But my business was named after a certain monumental event in my life - the birth of my first child. From the time my son was born, I was a new person. I was a mother now, and it changed me for the better, and forever. I wanted a business name that reflected my motherhood journey - after all, I want to photograph mamas and their babies more than anything! My son was born in June, and a sunrise is a beautiful new beginning. Thus, how the name June Sunrise was born!

I only work in Natural Light, no studio lighting here! I love getting to explore new spots, and always have a plethora of places we can explore that will include gorgeous scenery. I also love shooting in golden hour. Give me all the warmth of that evening sun!
